In Cappadocia you can wander through the desert, surrounded on every side by cave houses dug by hand in the natural rock formations that form this magical landscape.


This area is famous for its distinctive “fairy chimneys” in Monks Valley, Göreme and elsewhere. The Devrent Valley reveals many different rock formations and is only a 10 minute drive from Goreme.

The Göreme Open Air Museum is where you will see the amazing and mysterious ferry chimney houses. Visit the churches cut into the rocks are adorned with amazing frescoes. On your excursion through Cappadocia you'll want to make a stop at the small town of Avanos to visit one or two of the famous pottery studios. Here you'll find beautiful pottery pieces made by local artists using century old techniques. Avanos site on the banks of the Red River, where you'll also find Turksh baths.

Another interesting tour is of the Kaymaklı Underground City, which extends eight levels below the ground and carved out of volcanic rock. There are many underground cities in the Cappadocia area. Your guide will provide the historical information for each during the tour. 

Your visit should also include the very popular hot air balloon flight early in the morning. This is one of the highlights of the trip. For history buffs, especially those who study the annals of the Old Silk Road, you'll want to visit the Sultan Hanı, the largest Caravan Serai in the world. You'll experience the well-preserved seventh century old Seljuk architecture.
